My name is Susan Kline and have I yet to quit playing, coloring, painting, singing, dancing and loving what I do. I also love camping, swimming, hiking, and music. I have been a single divorced mother since 2001. I am a homeowner and have lived in my home since 1993. I have been working with children for over 35 years. I have been a certified child care provider for 31 years. Before I opened up my home for daycare I worked at a residential treatment center for adolescents.
I began providing child care in 1992 in the state of California from 7-92 through 8-93, when we moved to Kentucky. I have been certified in the State of Kentucky, since 10-18-93 certification # C0812. I am required to have nine hours of child care training including Abuse Head Trauma and be certified in child and infant cpr and first aid. I have numerous training certificates along with several letters of recognition from parents, the State of California, and the University of Kentucky. Child care certification is renewed every 2 years. My current certification is effective through October 31st, 2025. You may verify my certification, see my inspection reports and more here by the license # C0812.
I am certified for six non-related children. But no more than six under the age of 6 at any given time. My average enrollment is providing full time care for 4-6 children. Because of the unpredictable nature of this business, people who thought they were returning to work and decided not to, people relocate, change in working schedules, jobs and so on, or people interview and decide they don't want to start their child and call at the last minute to cancel or don't show at all, I do maintain a waiting list.
We have an American Eskimo Miniature named Ladie (all white snow dog) she knows no other home other than a daycare home, although she is kept separated from the children as not to distract them. She is not allowed in areas used most for child care at anytime, not even during non daycare hours. She is also kept up to date on all child care state regulations such as shots and more.
For your child's sake, interview as many providers as you can. Check out what is being offered in your area and in your price category. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Then, make an educated decision, one that is right for your family. This is the only way you can have the peace of mind you must have, to be productive at your job. You don't need child care issues adding to your stress. This decision is very important and if you are not comfortable with someone, including myself, by all means, look around until you are.
Thank you for your interest in my child care. I hope to hear from you soon. I am very flexible in most aspects of my child care business, if something doesn't look like it will work for you feel free to ask if an exception can be made. Feel free to contact me by email if you have any questions or I can be of help to you in finding the child care that's right for you and your child.
Thank- you Susan Kline
