I have been certified in the state of Kentucky since October 1993, previously I was licensed in the state of California in July 1992. To verify certification you may call The Department Of Social Service, Child Care Branch @ 1-800-421-1903, or do an online provider search here to view inspections and more. Certification must be renewed every two years, which includes but is not limited to Tb Test, physical, home inspection and ongoing training etc.

Hard copies of training certificates prior to 2008 and not included in TRIS are available for viewing during interviews upon request. Hard copies of my national criminal record checks, training certificates, CPR & First Aid, and current state certification/validation letter will are posted and/or presented for your viewing during all home interviews.

Please remember that all of these regulations/laws are in place for a reason, the health, safety and protection of our children and their families.
Nanny: Any person caring for children in the families home not the providers home, regardless of number of children.
Sitters: Only allowed 3 unrelated children by law. Regardless of number adults in the home.
Registered Providers: Can only keep three unrelated children.
Certified providers: May care for up 6 unrelated with no more than 6 children under the age of 6. May care for no more then 10 children, related and unrelated with no more than 6 children under the age of 6.
Licensed Type II: (Also In-home) Only allowed a total of 12 but is based on the age of the youngest child in care. If they keep infants then they should have an assistant teacher for the infants.
Licensed Type I: Ratio is based on center size. These are free standing buildings.
